So I stayed in a small bed room for the weekend and I really don’t need much. The bathrooms/ toilets for smaller rooms are a shared space to keep in mind but I did not have any issues with that. Creaky floors and very quiet place. Not an issue at all.
Only thing is the internet was not very strong but that was okay.
Caroline was delightful and very attentive!
If you complete your breakfast sheet she will have your breakfast out on time.
If I ever have to come back around the area I’ll be staying here!
Walkability: Close to a few pubs and bus stops if you don’t rent a car like I did. Commuting around UK was easy!

Okay, the room is huge, and the bed is very comfy.
I was upgraded to the Four poster bed room because of issues with the room I should have had. The only downside was the bathroom was very small. So small that I decided not to shower and I'm not tall at all but it felt very cramped! Plus when I flushed the loo water came up through the shower tray drain. I'm sure this is not the norm and just an issue with the drains that will get sorted, as this did not put me off maybe booking here again in the future.
The host Caroline was very good at providing instructions, nothing seemed too much trouble. I never got the opportunity to have breakfast because I didn't leave my breakfast order as instructed in the room, nor did I try to make contact to request anything as I'm sure I would have got something.
Quiet location, easy parking. A few door key codes to overcome but helps you come and go as you please.

Just around the corner, and it looks Very Pretty, if your out Great Baddow Way, it is Well Worth a Visit, it is a mile from the Army Navy roundabout, and about a 35 minute walk from both the Train and Bus stations), there on the edge of Chelmsford City, or if you have tired legs, please get the ‘C7’ bus, go’s quickly to Great Baddow, catch the ‘C7’ from the bus station, and ask for ‘Dorset Avenue’, The bus goes along ‘Rothmans Avenue’ (Where the flowery and pretty B and B is, and the turns left into Dorset Av, I live a 1 minute walk from this stop, have fun, Martin

Beautiful traditional deco big rooms. Peter was there to receive us. Peter is very humble and nice to talk with person.
Breakfast can be better-
Tea can be boiled and served rather an electric kettle was provided.
Muffins, croissants and few more options would be good.
We could not fill up as there was only half cooked eggs and cereals and not so good Tea.

Peter the proprietor was so accommodating and pleasant.
The Manor House is stunning and I had a very comfortable stay.
The room has everything you need and a great touch is the availability of real milk not UHT .
The breakfast was first class.
Will definitely be staying here again.
