As mentioned by other reviews, avoid at all costs (especially if ordering a stone company counter through Magnet.) Should any small issues arise (in my case a small issue with the templating that i was told by the fitter would take 20 minutes to rectify and am now given a 2.5 week timeline to come back which could very much impact the quality of our kitchen). The customer service is abysmal and although you will sign on Stone Company letterhead they will refuse to speak with you directly and only through Magnet - ( unless, of course they are chasing your initial purchase terms) If I had known this would have been the situation I would have chosen another company to fit our quartz worktops in a heartbeat as even a small savings has not been worth the hassle. I would avoid whether going through Magnet or otherwise given their choice to conduct business a step removed from their customers at any opportunity.

Had the stone company come in and fit my kitchen work tops on recommendation, after being messed around by 3 others firms. Quote given very quickly with a decent size sample to look at. (4 times the size off other companies) They told me a date when they could template and came back a week later to fit. First class experience and would recommend to everyone that is looking for stone worktops

The Stone Company is going to supply a quartz worktop for my new Magnet Kitchen. I have to clarify, the service from Magnet has been superb. I cannot say the same from The Stone company because: 1.- It took them 4 days after the cabinets were installed days for them to sent someone to made the countertop template. 2.- The countertop estimate fitting was suppose to be about 15 days after the template was made. About a week later they shifted the estimated fitting date by 20 more days. So now we are looking to a fitting that hopefully will be 30 days after the template was done. 3.- The last and more infuriating experience was when I contacted them asking to provide pictures or drawings of the edge profiles they do. I just wanted to see images to have peace of mind that what is is in the order would look like I expect. The absolutely refused to provide that information to me. They argued that as I have a contract with Magnet, they cannot provide any information to me. It doesn't matter that the info I requested was general and not related to my contract with Magnet. It was impossible for them to understand that most vendors of worktop have that sort of information fully available in their websites. I am still shocked by their lack of customer focus, how stubborn and unreasonable they are. It was like trying to reason with an answering machine.

The Stone Company are employed by Magnet to install quartz worksurfaces in our kitchen. 3 working hours before the installation was due to take place, The Stone Company called to advise that they didn't have the materials, so were cancelling the install. Apparently they had advised Magnet of the issue but despite having our contact details, decided not to tell us (the end user).

We had this company supply our granite tops for our kitchen in Reading. I cannot fault the supply and fit. Peter and his team did both the templating and fitting. Really nice finish and very professional. Great silicone finishing too! Would recommend to anyone who wants a great product and service.

The Stone Company were amazing from start to finish. They were the most reasonable of all the quotes we got for our worktop. Jackie and Chris were great at communication and very helpful before the visits. We had Neil and Peter to template and install the quartz. They were very meticulous and professional on both days. The worktop looks amazing and is the best thing in our kitchen! After the nightmare we had with our other refurb contractors, it was such a relief to have these highly skilled workmen come in and do a proper job! We’d highly recommend!

The workers were very pleasant however the price for the scope of work was quoted too high, they were at the house for 15 mins and it was 150q quid plus 30 VAT. Will get work done elsewhere, not competitive.

We use the Stone Company time and time again for both our own kitchens and also our customers’. Their professionalism and customer services are surperb. It’s also great to have such nice fitters on our sites and in our home. Nothing seems too much of a problem, with no compromise to achieve perfection!
